Normally, we will ensure all parts are available in advance for your service or repair. Occasionally, we identify that additional parts are required, which might not be in stock, but our Same Day Service has been designed to get your car back on the road in the shortest time possible. Tyres
Ensuring that your tyres are in good condition and right for your car means better safety, fuel efficiency and all-round driving performance and to keep them that way, we offer a free puncture repair service on all Toyota vehicles if we feel it's safe to do so. You don't even need to book an appointment, just pop in anytime.
The law requires that tyres fitted to your vehicle are in good condition and for each and every tyre offence there is a maximum fine of £2,500 and a compulsory driving licence endorsement of 3 penalty points.
Key points to bear in mind:
The legal minimum tyre tread depth for cars is 1.6mm in a continuous band throughout the central three-quarters of the tread width, throughout the whole of the tyre circumference (see illustration below)
The tyre must be suitably inflated for the purpose the vehicle is being used
The tyre must not have a cut, in excess of 25mm or 10% of the tyre section width whichever is the greater, which is deep enough to reach the tyre's internal structure
The tyre must not have a lump, bulge or tear caused by separation or partial failure of its structure
The tyre must not have any ply or cord exposed
It is a good idea to check the condition of your tyres regularly. Check the tread depth, tyre pressure and complete a thorough visual inspection to ensure that you are legally compliant. If you are in any doubt about the condition of your tyres, have them inspected by an expert at your local Toyota Centre or Service Outlet.

MOT
As we get older, we need regular checkups, and your car is no different. All cars over 3 years old are required to undergo an annual MOT checkup.
Our Toyota Centres are more than happy to arrange your MOT for you, and are also authorised to carry out any repair work that may be necessary.
The MOT is part of Toyota's Fixed-Price Promise which guarantees you will pay £54.85 for your MOT and not a penny more, no matter which participating Toyota Centre you visit.

When does my car need an MOT?
Once the car is 3 years old it will need an MOT every 12 months. The car can be brought in up to one month before the date of expiry as shown on the MOT certificate.

If your car does fail its MOT, your local Toyota Centre is best placed to help. The highly-trained Toyota technicians will be able to carry out any repairs using genuine Toyota parts and their intimate knowledge of your car.
What happens if my car fails the MOT?
If your car does fail the MOT, you will be issued with a VT30 certificate that states the reason for failure. You will also be eligible for a free re-test if the car is repaired at the same Toyota centre.
